Your life seems so perfect and you're such a creative person. I love it.
Thanks! My hope is always that my creative shenanigans might bring some happiness to others. As far as life goes, I did totally luck out. Who knows whether the future will be up or down hill, but right now life is pretty good.
Did you create those cool wooden glasses yourself? If so, that's pretty awesome!
Thanks man! Yep, I made them by hand. I started a company called Jump the Walls & Run that was going to make custom wood sunglasses and those were prototypes. Unfortunately, there were a couple other companies that started making wood frame glasses using machines at the same time, so I decided not to try to compete with them since they could sell their sunglasses for much less and had larger advertizing budgets. I still like the look of mine more though, ha!
what are your personal thoughts on sexual orientation?
I agree with the scientific community that sexual orientation isn’t a choice; that it’s the result of many hormonal, genetic, and environmental factors that occur in the uterus before birth. As an American, I side with the equal rights movement going on here.
Elise and I have been surrounded by a lot of death recently. A few weeks back, we passed on a river trip with friends, later to find out one of them drown. Also, Elise’s dog died last week; one that was particularly close to her heart. And last Saturday we were driving at night and came across a motorcyclist who had just crashed. It was the most gruesome thing I’ve seen in my life. He wasn’t wearing a helmet and it looked like the man’s skull exploded on impact with the pavement. We both cried in silence afterwards. There’s the trauma, and also the sorrow of it all. We’re doing alright though, and we’ve made sure to remember that there are those who live in places where death is an even more common visitor.
